The Catan Adventures Series

The Catan Adventures series of The Settlers of Catan is very similar to the original game, however some of the mechanics are different. Rather than being responsible for your settlements at a higher level, you take on the role of an individual colonist. The focus is on character development.

Catan Adventures: Candamir - The First Settlers

In Candamir, you are an adventurer who arrives in Catan after a long journey to become one of the first settlers. Candamir is similar to a role-playing game in that you improve your character as the game progresses; you grow stronger, obtain new skills and increase your charisma. Those skills are essential to your survival because you'll be facing bears, snakes and wolves in your quest to victory. For those who have read "The Settlers of Catan" book, by Rebecca Gablé, several characters will be familiar.

Catan Adventures: Elasund - The First City

The first settlers of Catan eventually build their first city, Elasund. As one of the chief architects of the city, your task is to build glorious buildings that will stand the test of time. Gold and Influence Cards are your primary resource, but you will need a fair bit of strategy to win.
